Join Charles Lazarus and his band for an afternoon of re-imagined jazz standards and joyful originals!

The Lazarus Band features trumpeter Charles Lazarus along with Tommy Barbarella on keyboards, Jeff Bailey on bass, and David Schmalenberger on drums. This genre-hopping band has released four albums and performs together frequently with the Minnesota Orchestra. The Lazarus Band anchors Merry & Bright, the popular annual holiday tradition at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Other notable group appearances include Twin Cities Public Television’s Minnesota Originals, performances with the Grammy Award-winning vocal group The Steeles, and opening for Tony Bennett. Charles and the Lazarus Band have appeared in multiple feature concerts with The Florida Orchestra, various local and national concerts series and have upcoming performances with the San Angelo Symphony, Chamber Music Festival of the Black Hills, and the Minnesota Orchestra.
